Please note that you do not need to be on the ATKSI worldwide videoconferencing network to register and certify your videoconferencing site with us.

Reasons why we do not list affiliated public videoconferencing rooms:

In brief, we see more harm than good comes out of most typical listings out there.  Unless an organization is willing to allocate the necessary resources to maintain an up-to-date listing, a non-updated listing with the wrong contact information (for example) can cause more harm than good to the public room operator as well as to our service.  A user using an un-updated listing to contact a site for reservation, most likely will give up on that site because of the wrong contact information.  However, if a user contact us directly for a reservation, we follow through, first trying with affiliated sites, and if not successful we also work with non-affiliated sites (after completing a necessary site certification).

The other type of listings out there mainly list cities where you can find public videoconferencing rooms.  This might have been helpful years ago.  Today, it is almost certain that you will find a videoconferencing room almost anywhere you need one (or worst case scenario within a short driving distance).  If a user checks the listing, and does not find the city he/she is looking for, and he/she is not familiar with this particular remote area, he/she might not realize that another listing exists within a short driving distance.
